Reuben Sandwich
Ingredients
Butter, two tablespoons
16 pieces of rye bread
deli-sliced corned meat in 8 slices
8 Swiss cheese slices
1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing and 1 cup drained sauerkraut
Directions
Step 1 Turn on the medium heat under a sizable skillet or griddle.
Step 2
Butter the bread slices on one side lightly. Spread Thousand Island dressing on the sides that were not buttered. Place 1 slice of Swiss cheese, 2 slices of corned beef, 1/4 cup of sauerkraut, and a second slice of Swiss cheese on 4 slices of bread. Add the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered sides out.
Step 3
Grill sandwiches for about 5 minutes per side, or until both sides are golden brown. Serve warm.
